Betty Lou “Granny” Moore, 94, of Decatur, IL, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m, Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or Our Lady of Lourdes School. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements.Betty was born November 16, 1922, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Louis J. and Mabel Catherine (Clark) Garver. She married Blish “Jack” Moore on May 31, 1947 in Decatur, IL.Betty was a charter member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Teresa High School and worked for ADM. She later worked as a secretary at the Keil Building, retiring after several years of service. Betty especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.She is survived by her children Timothy M. Moore and wife Suzanne, and Mary M. “Molly” Ellis and Fred, all of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Stacy McFadden and husband Dave of Hoopeston, IL, Tom Ellis and wife Tracy of Bethany, IL, Ben Ellis of Springfield, IL, Andy Ellis and wife Ann of Decatur, Marie Wayne and husband Chad of Decatur; great grandchildren Devin McFadden, Brett Ellis, Joe Ellis, Christopher Ellis, John Ellis, Boone Ellis, Jack Wayne, Grant Wayne, Ruby Lou Wayne.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother.
