Betty Jean (Lovelace) Hoyt, 80, formerly of Decatur, IL, died July 31, 2012 at Heartland Health Care, Normal, IL. Funeral services 12:00 noon, Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL with visitation one hour prior to service time. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at a later date in Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131. Betty was born September 13, 1931 in Bingham, IL, the daughter of Luther and Orpha (Matthews) Lovelace. She married Richard Hoyt on February 19, 1956 in Ramsey, IL. She worked at WDZ radio station in Decatur, IL and was a former member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and belonged to Professional Secretary's Association. She loved gardening, traveling, reading, shopping, and especially spending time with her grandsons and family. Surviving are her daughter Kendra Moses of Edwards, IL; grandsons Daniel and Ben; and many dear nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Jacqueline, two sisters and eight brothers. "
