Betty L. Gross, 75, of Decatur, formerly of Clinton and Cerro Gordo, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Fair Havens Christian Home.Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 6, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL, at a later date.Memorials may be made to the family.Betty was born March 16, 1940 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Harold Vernon and Wilma Jane (Heinz) Gross. She enjoyed reading and working in the radio industry for 40 years, with the last 20 years as Station Manager for WHOW Radio. Betty loved sports and was an avid Illini, St. Louis Cardinals, and Chicago Bears fan. She was a member of Kiwaniannes and served as the first female president of the club.She is survived by her sister Judith A. Hamm of Decatur; brother Michael L. (Pat) Gross of Cerro Gordo; niece Kelley Larrick of Cerro Gordo; great niece and nephews Kraig (Nicole) Krigbaum, Kaleb Krigbaum, Kristie Krigbaum; great great nephews Braylon, Hudson, Nolan; nephew Mark (Barb) Hamm of Decatur; great niece and nephew Nikki and James Honea; great great nephew Noah; great niece Victoria Hamm; niece-in-law Andrea; and great niece and nephews Alexandra, Erich, Jacob.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Larry, sister Sandy, nephews Mike, Kerry, and Brad.
