Betty J. Fratini, 82, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012. Betty was born on October 13, 1929, in Niantic, IL, the daughter of Louis Bullock and Anna Bullock Diveley. She married Adam Fratini on January 10, 1950. He preceded her in death on August 4. 1987. She retired from Harrah's in Las Vegas, Nevada as a culinary worker. She also worked in the bar/restaurant business as a server/manager and also managed retail stores in Decatur. She was loved by all her co-workers and especially, her customers. Betty will be lovingly remembered as a vibrant, fun-loving woman, full of life and laughter and a wonderful personality. She lit up every room she entered and was able to chat up anyone she met. She found beauty in life within her family and friends she held dear. It never took much to get a smile out of her. Despite her battling obstacles of her last days, Betty always had her own way of showing the glow of being happy with her loved ones. While living in Glendale, AZ, Betty volunteered her time at "Wings of Peace," serving the homeless. She also organized a "Wednesday Night Dinner Club" for her close friends and family for many years in Decatur. She was a huge St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and a competitive card player. Her family would like to acknowledge the talented skills of the many doctors, nurses and CNA's that contributed to her recent care and had the opportunity to have known her. Surviving are her two daughters, Mary Ann Cundiff of Decatur, IL, Pam Fratini of Clarksville, IN; two sons, Louie Fratini and wife, Suzanne of Glendale, AZ, and Tony Fratini and wife Jill of Cisco, IL; one sister, Nora Diveley Beck and husband Gary of Decatur, IL; her special nieces Fran Tonsor of Decatur, IL who also was her hairdresser, Jinny Sills of Camp Verde, AZ, Nancy Snoddy of Indianapolis, IN, Mary Petrie of Franklin, IN, Peggy Frazier of Indianapolis, IN, Shirley Hicks of Covington, IN, and special nephews Jeff Beck of Decatur, IL and Butch Thompson of Mt Zion, IL; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and three brothers. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at Concordia Lutheran Church,3303 E Maryland Decatur, IL 62521, on Saturday, July 28th, 2012 at 11:00 am.
