Betty Conley

Betty Jane Conley, 95, of Cerro Gordo, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 surrounded by her family, just the way she wanted! Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, July 20, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home in Cerro Gordo, IL. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 21, at the Cerro Gordo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cerro Gordo American Legion.Betty was born October 16, 1922 the daughter of Charles & Eunice Cox. She is a graduate of Cerro Gordo High School. She married William Delbert Conley on November 20, 1940. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2008. Their marriage was the strength of our family all these years. She sewed for everyone, and, for as long as we can remember, cooked the best fried chicken dinners that were served promptly at 11 am every Sunday. Thanksgiving was always a special time for the family to gather in the kitchen, and watch her work her cooking magic for family and friends. Betty Jane ran a beauty shop in her one and only home of 75 years.Betty Jane is survived by two sons; Ronald and David Conley of Georgia; four grandchildren; Lori Marmion of Bloomington, IL, Eric Conley of Cerro Gordo IL, Kara Peterka of Mahomet IL, and Chaz Conley Tucker GA; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved and will be missed.Betty Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and twin sons Gene and Dean. "
