Bette Gregory

Bette Marie Gregory, 91, of Peoria, IL, formerly of Decatur, IL, died 11:15 A.M., Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at Manor Court in Liberty Village, Peoria, IL. There will be no service or visitation. Entombment will be in Star of Hope Mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Donor's Choice. Bette was born November 27, 1920, in Paxton, IL, the daughter of Perle and Marie Beach (Young) Evelsizer. She married Paul R. Gregory on August 15, 1941 in Bloomington, IL. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1990. Bette was a Vice President at Northtown Bank, retiring in 1975 after 14 years of service. She then worked for 9 years at Soy Capital Bank as the Bank President's personal assistant. Prior to these employments, she managed the Avon Theatre from 1950's to 1960's and also worked at the Decatur Macon County Hospital. Bette was also an immaculate homemaker. She is survived by her daughter Lynnette (Carl) DiFani of Plant City, FL; sons Dennis "Rocky" Gregory of Peoria, IL, Douglas Gregory of Decatur, IL, Steven Gregory of Decatur, IL; half brother Chad Evelsizer of Bloomington, IL; and 7 grandchildren.
