Beth M. Frey, 62, passed away peacefully at her home on February 14, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born June 17, 1958, in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of Mary E. (Levins) and Charles T. Frey. Beth graduated from St. Teresa High School and attended Richland Community College. Beth’s work career started at Northtown Bank of Decatur followed by Mueller Distributing, Striglos Office Equipment, and ADM. Beth adored her nieces and nephews and all animals, particularly cats – she never knew a stray! Beth cherished time spent with family which included trips to Vermont and New Jersey with nieces; day trips to Galesburg for shopping and lunch with her aunts from Iowa; family reunions in Burlington, Iowa; family vacations white-water rafting in West Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee; touring France with Mom; attending theater, festivals, and concerts with family and friends. Beth had many hidden talents which included her love of painting, ceramics, cake decorating, knitting, basket weaving, and making planter boxes for friends. Beth is survived by her parents, Charles T. and Mary E., her siblings Jeanne (Carl) Curry, Celeste (Tom) Ames, Tom Frey, and Joseph (Valora) Frey; nieces Sarah and Natalie Curry, Emilee and Marielle Frey, Charissa (David) Wilmes; nephewsCharles Curry and Seth (Ieisha) Halford; grandnieces, Kaydience, Bexlei, Olivia, and Clair, countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her beloved cats Bennie, Tucker, and Sweetie, remained by her side throughout her cancer treatments. Beth was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Michael Frey. Her family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Dr. Ontiveros, Laurie, Liz, and Shannon of CancerCare Specialists, and to Beth’s caregivers Becky, PJ, Jaia, Candy, Marilyn, and Brandy. Their care, empathy, and support made all the difference to her family. Private services are planned. Memorials may be made on her behalf to the Decatur and Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation, P.O.
