Bernard "Bernie" Clough, 90, of Decatur, IL, died Friday evening (September 26, 2014) with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with Rev. Sally Hamon officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Bernard was born March 6, 1924, in Decatur, IL, the son of Howard and Myrtle (Cleo) Clough. He served in the Army during World War II. He was stationed in India and the Aleutian Islands. Bernard was a parts manager with Volkswagen for many years before retiring in 1987 from Bob Brady. He married Betty Ann Terneus on June 6, 1950. Bernard was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many. He will be missed every day. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Ledbetter and husband Jim; son, James B. Clough; grandson, David Ledbetter and wife Stacey; granddaughter Heather Baker and husband DJ; and three great-grandchildren, Dakota Baker, Donald Baker and Olivia Ledbetter. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, Eldon (Curly) Clough, sisters, Audrey Robey and Doris Fogerson, and one great-granddaughter, Abby. Bernard is now reunited with his wife and they walk with the Lord on the streets of gold in Heaven. A special thanks to the staff of Imboden Creek Living Center for their loving care of Bernard.
