CUSTOM DEATH NOTICEBerna Aileen (Dipper) Smick, 90, of Moweaqua, IL., died on Sunday (05-04-2008) at 12:45 AM at Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur, IL.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday (05-06-2008) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to: Moweaqua Public Library.Berna was born on March 5, 1918 in Decatur, IL., the daughter of John Dipper and Mary Mae (Mathews) Dipper. She married Charles R. Smick in 1937. He passed away in 1954She was executive secretary at J.L. Simmons Company for many years. Former member of Eastern Star, graduated from Millikin University with a teaching certificate, member of Pi Beta Phi sororiety.Surviving: Children Charles Smick of Oconee, IL; Priscilla J. Theriot of Durham, NC; Mary Kay Wetzel of Huntington Beach CA; John P Smick and wife Judy of Moweaqua, IL seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by her parents, husband-Charles R. Smick, one brother W A Dipper and granddaughter Judy. "
