A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery, Macon, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.Barbara was born December 19, 1928, in Macon, IL, the daughter of Dwight Talmadge and Leona Irene (Crickman) Hughes. She married Harold Elmo Parker on May 16, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1963. She married Jesse Leroy Reynolds in July 1975. He preceded her in death in November 1992. Barbara worked for General Electric as an assembly line worker for many years. She also worked for Borg-Warner, Holiday Inn, and most recently as housekeeping supervisor at Best Western. Barbara raised four children after her husband Harold passed away and was a very hard worker. She enjoyed bingo, watching Mafia movies, and gardening. She was an excellent cook and quilted award-winning quilts. She especially loved her cat Tony Pacino.Surviving are her daughter Johnna Hietala and husband Jim of Littleton, CO; son Dan Parker and wife Ginny of Harristown, IL; grandchildren David, Kristen, Daniel, Rachel, Robin, and Tricia; sister Juanita Jones and husband Wendell of Macon, IL; sister Pat Hughes of Auburn, IL; sister Willa Grant and husband Dean of Waynesburg, PA; sister Anna Lou Cook and husband Don of Faribault, MN; brother Ray Hughes and wife Marlene of Springfield, IL; and dear friends Carlene Bradshaw, Diana Gulledge, Harry Michael, and Sandy Moma, all of Decatur.Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, children Ben Parker, Greg Parker, Andy Parker, and two brothers Kenneth Hughes and Talmadge (Tank) Hughes.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Cancer Care Center and DMH Hospice Services.
