Barbara Jean McCulley, 90, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 surrounded by her family at her home.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1960 E Johns Ave, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, at the church, followed by a Celebration of Life. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials in Barbara’s honor may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and Disabled American Veterans.
Barbara was born October 11, 1933 in Decatur, the daughter of Carl and F. Helen (Gifford) Campbell. She married David H. “Mac” McCulley on December 23, 1951. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2011. Barbara worked in the banking industry for her entire career and was passionate about helping her customers. Her positive attitude and outlook inspired those around her and have made lasting impacts. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and sharing stories. Barabara was a devoted Lutheran and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her granddaughter Xiu Ying (Justin) Pratt and child Emily; brother, Carl Gene (Judy) Campbell of South Carolina; niece Carrie Jean (Phillip) Maggard and children Tessa & Zander, all of North Carolina; extended family Kindra (Donnie) Beiler; and Ilene McQuality.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
