B. Elizabeth Fourmont, 99, of Decatur, IL., died at 11:58 P.M. on Thursday (September 6, 2012). Local funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday (September 10, 2012) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, IL., with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Monday (September 10, 2012). Further funeral services will also be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday (September 11, 2012) at Daleiden Mortuary, Aurora, IL., with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL. Elizabeth was born on February 7, 1913 in Nagyvarad, Hungary, the daughter of Janos A. and Erzebet Nagy Koteles. When she was 6 months old, she and her mother sailed to the United States, and entered at Ellis Island. Her father had come to the U.S.A. two months earlier to find work. The family lived in various cities before settling in Aurora, IL in 1922. Ten years later, she met Wayne P. Fourmont in Aurora. They were married on April 15, 1933 in Morris, IL. and had four children. They lived in the Aurora area for nearly 75 years before moving to Decatur in 2007. She was always a stay-at-home mother. Besides the usual domestic chores, she and her husband produced large vegetable gardens, tended fruit trees and berry bushes, and raised chickens and ducks for meat and eggs. All home repairs and improvements were done by them- they didn't hire outside help. She was an excellent cook, had artistic talent, loved to read, and was still a good Scrabble player at the age of 99. She also loved playing Bingo at Keystone Meadows. Surviving are her daughters: Sally E. (Lawrence) Thicksten of Decatur, IL., Barbara A. Crain of Baltimore, MD.; son: James W. (Daphne) Fourmont of Aurora, IL .and son-in-law: Royal W. Dennis of Aurora, IL.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 78 years, one daughter: Emily Dennis, grandson: Alex Crain, and her four younger brothers: Joseph, Charles, Alex and John Koteles. "
