Augusta Ann "Gussy" Corrona, 66, of Decatur, Illinois went to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:30 on Sunday morning, September 23rd, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Homegoing celebration of Gussy's life will be at 10am at First Christian Church of Decatur, Illinois, on Friday, September 28th with Pastor Jon Keck officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 27th from 5-7pm at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, Illinois. Graveside services will be 3:30 PM Friday, September 28, 2012 at Henson Cemetery, Xenia, IL. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Decatur, Illinois. Gussy was born January 17th, 1946, in Olney, Illinois, the daughter of Bill and Georgia (Henson) Dale. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim Corrona, on June 21st, 1969 and spent 43 years happily married. Gussy and Jim were lifelong members of the Christian church and attended First Christian Church of Decatur, Illinois. She is survived by her daughter Andrea Jenkins and husband Ward of Portland, Oregon (grandchildren Ava and Ezra); Nathan Corrona and wife Kendra of Atlanta, Georgia (grandchildren Lux and Zaine); Von Corrona of New York City. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Pete of Houston, Texas. Gussy was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, a devoted wife and mother and true creative spirit who inspired not only her husband and three children but all those who came to know her. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. "
