Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 23, 2010, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Decatur, IL, with Dr. Wes Feltner officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 5 P.M., Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church or DMH Hospice.Athalene was born June 11, 1921 in Russellville, AR, the daughter of John and Laura Goodall Tollison, and moved to Nienda, TX in 1928. She married Owen Faught on October 31, 1938. On May 12, 1950 she married Loran Miller in Shelbyville, IL. They celebrated their 60th anniversary this past May.Athalene was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for 59 years, giving 53 years in pre-school ministry. She was retired from Decatur Public School District/ARA Food Service.She leaves behind her spouse of 60 years; daughter Karon (Jack) Lientz of Mt. Zion, IL; Grandmother to Lindsay (Monica) Lientz of Ft. Worth, TX, Jackie (Gary) Davis of Mt. Zion, Kara (Heath) Grace of Decatur, IL; Gammy to great grandchildren Meredith, Andrew, Alexis, Braden, Carson, Kendall & Klaire; nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.The family gives a very special thank you to the caring people of DMH Hospice. You were a wonderful blessing to our family. Athalene was a precious lady who lived her faith daily. She taught her family that the things that mattered were faith in Christ and loving family and friends. "
