Ashton Lee Brandenburg, of LaPlace, IL, passed away after a sudden and tragic accident on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the age of 14 years. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 4, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL.Burial will be in Croninger Cemetery, Cisco, IL.Memorials may be made in memory of Ashton to: The Brandenburg Family, c/o Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, 2827 N. Oakland Ave., Decatur, IL 62526.Ashton was born October 12, 2002 in LaPlace, IL, the son of Sammy and Shelly (Gossett) Brandenburg. He was very loving and outgoing, and enjoyed music, riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, and loved the outdoors. He loved hanging out with his friends and they were inseparable. Ashton played football at Cerro Gordo JFL. Ashton is survived by his parents Sammy & Shelly Brandenburg, and sister Ashleigh, all of LaPlace, IL; many aunts, uncles, cousins, special nieces Aubree & Paislee, three best friends Clayton, Trevor, Gage, as well as many other friends.He was preceded in death by his big brother Austin, grandparents Richard & Casandra Gossett, Samuel & JoAnn Brandenburg, great grandmother June McMahon, uncle Rex Gossett, and great uncle Mike.
