Arthur L. Patrick, 88, of Tulia, Texas, died Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Tulia Health and Rehab, Tulia, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 11, at Cerro Gordo Church of the Brethren, Cerro Gordo, IL. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Monday, August 10, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL, with military rites conducted by the Cerro Gordo American Legion Post #117. Memorials may be made to the Cerro Gordo American Legion Post #117 Building Fund or to the family's choice of charities. Arthur was born June 4, 1927, in Bethany, IL, the son of Russell L. And Beatrice (Thomas) Patrick. He married Imogene O'Field in Cerro Gordo in February 1950. She preceded him in death May 18, 1994. Arthur worked for Mark McLeod Trucking for 10 years. He also worked for Doug Downs Trucking for 2-3 years. He was a member of the Cerro Gordo American Legion Post #117, and was past Commander for 2 years. Arthur was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War, and he was in the Army Reserves for 32 years. He is survived by his children: Connie Sue Cannon and husband Robert of Tulia, TX, David Leroy Patrick and wife Ann of Bement, IL; 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, all of Texas; 10 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren, all of Illinois. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Marvin, and son Gary. "
