Visitation: 5:00 PM on August 09, 2011 Funeral: 10:00 AM on August 10, 2011 CUSTOM DEATH NOTICE Arnold Eugene Bork, 79, of Oakley, died at 5:31 AM Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 10, 2011at Trintity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ridge Cemetery in Long Creek Township. Memorials: In lieu of flowers - Trinity Lutheran Church or L.S.A. School. Arnold was born July 30, 1932 in Decatur, IL, the son of Amel and Ellen (Bloir) Bork. On March 25, 1955, he married Carol Kinkaid in Maroa, IL. Arnold was a farmer for many years. He also worked for A.E. Staley for 39 years as a Control Lab Analyst. He formerly was a private pilot and enjoyed flying. He was a member of the Decatur Aero Club and Experimental Club. Arnold collected toy tractors, and enjoyed downhill skiing, and swimming. Arnold was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, member of Staley Retirees Club, and Companionship Guild. Arnold leaves behind his wife Carol, five children, Allen Bork and wife Paula of Kentucky, Rick Bork of Peoria, IL, Edwin Bork and wife Diana of South Beloit, IL, Linda Ziemer and husband Louis of Carlock, IL, Gary Bork and wife Kendra of Escondido, CA; one brother, Bernard Bork and wife Edythe of Oakley; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
