Ardell J. McClure, 93, of Decatur, IL, passed away 10:30 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016, at Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur.Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 1, 2016, at Northwest Christian Church, with visitation at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to Northwest Christian Church and Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois.Ardell was born August 8, 1922 in Jasper County, IL, the daughter of John and Elsie Wetherholt. She married Robert D. McClure on August 22, 1941 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death in October 2001.Ardell was a volunteer at Fair Havens Christian Home and Northwest Christian Church, where she had been a member for many years.She is survived by her son: Jerry (Beverly) McClure; daughter: Jan (Gary) Durbin; grandchildren Shawn (Sarah) McClure, Matthew (Angela) Durbin, Jacob (Amanda) Durbin; and 2 great grandchildren, all of Decatur.She was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, one sister, and three brothers.
