Anne Constant

Anne T. Constant, 87, of Decatur, IL, passed away on June 15, 2025.

Anne was born on March 31, 1938, in Bremen, Germany, the daughter of George and Adelheid (Ueffing) Brandt. She immigrated from Germany in November 1952, later met and married Eldon J. Constant of Decatur, IL, and became a naturalized citizen on November 12 ^th , 1986.

She worked as a CNA at Mosser Nursing Home and was a foster parent for many years. Anne’s hobbies and likes were her family, cooking German meals, bird, squirrel, and rabbit watching, caring for feral cats and crocheting.

Survivors include her children; Charles Constant, Mark Constant and wife Jessica, Maria Schroettner, and Teresa Kroll; 7 grandchildren: Matthew, Angela, Eric, Brandon, Cierra, Jamie and Alexandra, 1 great-grandchild: Kennedy, longtime friend Nina Holman, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many more foster children.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband Eldon (2006): an inspector with the FDA, her parents, five brothers, four sisters and sponsor/foster parents Anna and Steven Weaver and their beloved daughter Gertrude A. Mallard
