Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, January 22, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Berea Christian Church or American Diabetes Association.Anna was born May 22, 1930 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of John R. and Violet Hazel (Mitchell) Sanders. She married Carl E. Vaughn on July 2, 1949 in Decatur, IL.Anna was a member of Berea Christian Church in Mt. Auburn, IL and was very active in the C.W.F. She was a Sunday School Teacher and a Bible School Teacher. Anna loved working in her garden and doing crossword puzzles. She loved feeding the birds and was an avid bird watcher, especially hummingbirds and cardinals, and enjoyed watching quail. Anna was a lifelong avid Cardinal fan and went to Cardinal baseball games on her honeymoon and her 50th wedding anniversary. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Carl of Mt. Auburn, IL; children Carla Sue Josefson of Mt. Auburn, IL, Steven E. Vaughan and wife Mary of Lexington Park, MD, John R. Vaughn and wife Tanya of Decatur, IL, Lawrence Paul Vaughan and wife Lara of Macks Creek, MO, Thomas G.Vaughn, Sr. and wife Tonya of Blue Mound, IL, Leah V. Lookabaugh and husband David of Blue Mound, IL; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and brother John R.
