Anna Belle (Hart) Pearson, 97, of Decatur, IL., passed away on Tuesday, December 4th, 2014, at Symphony of Decatur Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, 2827 N. Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be at 10AM on Wednesday, December 10, in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the DMH Hospice Organization, 2300 N. Edward St., Decatur, IL 62526. Anna Belle Pearson was born in Waverly, IL., on June 20, 1917. Anna Belle was a beautician for over 65 years and was believed to be the oldest operating hair dresser in Illinois at the time of her retirement at the age of 88. While she lived in Decatur most of her life, she married her husband Darwin in Jacksonville, IL, April 26, 1945, and lived in Springfield, IL, where their 3 children were born prior to moving to Decatur. When she retired at the age of 88, she moved to Mabank, TX, where she lived on her son Bob's farm for six years before returning to Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Darwin Pearson, parents John and Grace (Masters) Hart, brother Harold Hart, sister Hazel Hart, granddaughter Danelle Pearson, and son-in-law Robin McGowan. Survivors include children John and wife Jan Pearson, Canton, TX, Robert and wife Delores Pearson, Mabank, TX, and Karen McGowan, Decatur, IL; 3 grandchildren ; 7 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
