Anna May Grandma Myers, 83, of Decatur, IL., formerly of Oreana, IL., died on Saturday (09-06-2008) in Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur, IL.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday (09-09-2008) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL., with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will held at Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to: Fair Havens Christian Home.Anna was born on October 1, 1924 in Oreana, IL., the daughter of Frank I. Myers and Effie May (Bourquin) Myers. She married Theodore Ferdinand Ted Myers, Jr. on March 23, 1947 in Decatur, IL.She was a Crossing Guard and Lunch Attendant at Stevenson School and also a Lunch Room Attendant at Parsons School. Anna was an avid water skier.She is survived by her daughter: Linda Marie Morrison of Sullivan, IL.;grandsons: a very special grandson Todd Shackelford and wife Susan of Harristown, IL. and Van Ray Shackelford of Rock Springs, WY.; two sisters: Ida Lappie and Alice Reed both of Decatur, IL.; four great-grandchildren: Jennifer Marie Shackelford, Vanessa Lorraine Shackelford, Austin Lane Shackelford, Colby Page Shackelford.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Theodore Ted Myers, grandson Corporal Kenneth Shackelford, and two brothers Bill Myers and George Myers. The family would like to give special thanks to Fair Havens Christian Home and their staff for the wonderful care given to Anna for the past ten years.
