Anna Kahler

Anna Belle Kahler, 91, of Decatur, IL, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015, at her residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church. Anna was born May 21, 1924 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Arville and Maude (Roby) Malone. She married Lloyd E. Kahler on September 5, 1948 in Decatur, IL. Anna was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Anna worked for State Farm Insurance in Bloomington, Shipyard in Joliet, Ammunition Plant in Illiopolis, and from 1965-1972 she worked for Decatur Public Schools before retiring. She is survived by her children Lloyd Kahler Jr. and wife Francine of West Minister, MD, Jerry Kahler and wife Pam of Englewood, NJ, Connie Atkinson and husband Kurt of Decatur, Larry Kahler of Conyers, GA; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and brother Nelson Malone and wife Ileta of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Samantha Evans, sister Bessie Jestis, and brother Robert Malone. "
