Ann York

Ann E. York, 91, of Cerro Gordo, died at 3:55 AM Sunday, January 6, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo. Burial will be at Cerro Gordo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials have been suggested to be given to Cerro Gordo Rescue Squad or Piatt County Nursing Home Alzheimer Unit. Ann was born August 1, 1921 in Centertown, KY, the daughter of Albert and Josie (Wilson) Igleheart. She married Turner W. York, August 4, 1939 in Dyersburg, TN. She was a homemaker in her own home and enjoyed gardening and needlework. Mrs. York is survived by her sons Russell York and wife Mary Jo of Cerro Gordo, Gerald York and wife Valerie of El Cajon, CA; 4 grandchildren Michael York and wife Dawn of Cerro Gordo, Adam York of San Diego, CA, Christine Reed and husband Brian of Sherman, IL, Gina Boccia and husband Guy of Chula Vista, CA; and 7 great-grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Turner. "
