Ann E. Grandon, 93, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024 surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be 12:00 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery.
Ann was born September 13, 1930 in Olney, IL, the daughter of Anthony and Bertha (Deimel) Rauch. She married George W. “Bill” Grandon, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2005. Ann worked for many years as a cook for Niantic Harristown grade school until her retirement. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and loved watching Fighting Illini Basketball.
She is survived by her children: Bill Grandon of Atlanta, IL, Virginia Grandon of Decatur; and Steve Grandon of Decatur; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Rauch of Herrick.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Grandon; daughter, Kathy Dickerson; and 12 siblings.
