Alyce Lynne Brackett, 64, of Illiopolis, IL, passed away at 6:28 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Aspen Ridge Care Center.A Memorial visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 23, at Harristown Cemetery.Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialist of Central Illinois.Alyce was born on September 17, 1946, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Herman Burbes and Jackie (Goodman) Curtsinger. She married Leonard Brackett on June 27, 1964. Alyce enjoyed cross stitch, cooking, baking and especially enjoyed Paula Dean.Surviving are her daughters Lisa Brackett of Illiopolis, IL, Lori (Kenny) Patient of Niantic, IL, Wendi (Fianc Bret Patton) Brackett, grandchildren Jarred Patient, Dalton Lovett, Nathan Lovett, Reese Patton, Sullivan Patton, best friend Karen Doty, former son-in-law Lloyd Lovett, and many other family and friends.Alyce was preceded in death by her parents.The family wishes to thank DMH Hospice and Cancer Care Specialist for the care given to Alyce.
