Alta O'Neill

Alta Lee O'Neill, 87, of Decatur, died Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 10, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice of charities. Alta was born October 15, 1926, in Doniphan, Missouri, the daughter of Guy and Nora (Boyles) Payne. She married Michael E. O'Neill September 14, 1944, in Arkansas. He preceded her in death. Alta worked for over 30 years at Borg Warner, retiring in 1986. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Lynn O'Neill and Denny O'Neill, both of Decatur; sister, Phyllis Wallace and husband Bill of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Stacey O'Neill-Clark and husband Andy of Decatur, Tyler O'Neill of Decatur, Joey Hollingsead and husband Jason of Decatur, Craig A. O'Neill and wife Brenda of Dalton City, and Nicholas A. O'Neill and fiancee` Cara of Decatur; and 11 great grandchildren. Alta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Craig O'Neill. "
