Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 31, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 A.M. at North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer Research Foundation or Homeward Bound.Alice was born April 2, 1931, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of John and Pearl (Bell) Eads. She married Carl Wayne on April 2, 1972. He preceded her in death in 2003. Through her work as a fashion buyer, Alice was a world wide traveler and lived in several different cities in the U.S. She retired from Macys/I. Magnin in California and moved to New Mexico, later returning to Decatur. She was an accomplished musician.She is survived by her stepsons Greg (Jean) Wayne of Louisville, TX, Randy (Annie) Wayne of Simi Valley, CA, Todd Wayne of Kansas City, MO, Kyle (Sharon) Wayne of Cuyahoga, Ohio, Casey (Lori) Wayne of Kansas City, MO; brother Rodger (Janet) Eads of Oakley, IL; sister Betty R. Shambaugh of Cerro Gordo, IL; stepgrandchildren and nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Carl. Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com.
