Alice Jacoby

Alice B. Jacoby, 92, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017, at Fair Haven Christian Home, Decatur, IL.Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 11, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Private Family Burial will follow at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fair Haven Christian Home and Safe Haven Hospice.Alice was born in Decatur, IL, on February 5, 1925, the daughter of Alice Ruby (Girard) and Leonard Bruce Vance. She married Harvey A. Jacoby on December 24, 1945 in Decatur, and he preceded her in death.Alice and Harvey were the owners of Kentucky Fried Chicken in Quincy, IL, for over 23 years.Alice will be missed for the spirit and independence she displayed in her life.She is survived by her son Kenneth (Julie) of Decatur, IL; daughter Beverly (Ronald) Markey of North Ft. Myers, FL; granddaughters Erin (Steve) Easter of Bloomington, Meghan (Marcus) Rapp of Morton, Dr. Alysta (Dr. Jason) Sewell of Mt. Vernon; and six great grandchildren.The family would like to give special thanks to Fair Haven Christian Home and Safe Haven Hospice for their wonderful care of Alice. "
