Alice L. Davis, 94, of Decatur, IL, died 5:45 A.M., Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Centre, Decatur, IL. Although there will not be any local services, following cremation rites, burial will be in Waterford, CT . Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be assisting the family. Alice was born January 13, 1918, in New London, CT, the daughter of Carl E. and Anna (Anderson) Liljenstein. She married Albert Davis on October 24, 1942 in New London, CT. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2009. Alice was a 1935 graduate of W.M.I. in New London, CT. After high school, she sang and played the guitar for church radio broadcasts in Connecticut, and she was an excellent seamstress. Alice enjoyed playing the guitar, baking apple pies for her family, and making doll clothing for her granddaughters and nieces. She enjoyed taking long driving trips, listening to Bill Gaither songs, and was a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan. She is survived by her daughter: Linnea Harris of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Lynn (Rick) Eades of Decatur, IL, Kristin (David) Dempster of Fulton, MO, Karl Harris (fiancé Joela Sarver) of Decatur, IL; great grandchildren Christopher Finley of Dallas, TX, Kolton, Kayleigh, and Karley Harris of Decatur, IL; sister Lucie MacArthur of Coconut Creek, FL.
