Albert L. Wilson, 92, of Forsyth died Dec. 25, 2017 at Hickory Point Christian Village. Services will be noon Friday, Jan. 5 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 3465 N. MacArthur Road, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to First Congregational United Church of Christ. Known as "Al" to friends and "Bud" to family, he was born July 16, 1925 in Roseville, son of Jesse Ray and Sadie H. (Reed) Wilson. He graduated Roseville HIgh School in 1943 and worked for his father on the family farm from 1943 to 1947. He attended the University of Illinois at Galesburg from 1947 to 1949. He married Linda Simmons on Aug. 20, 1949 in Monmouth, and attended the U of I-Champaign-Urbana from 1950 to 1952, graduating with a degree in agricultural engineering in 1952.Al is survived by his children, Amy Wilson of New Orleans, La.; Bill (Valerie) of Decatur; and Richard (Rashea Healey) of Norwich, N.Y.; sisters, Mae Rosine of Knob Noster, Mo.; Mary Spencer of Rochelle.
