Albert Henry Karloski, Jr., 84, of Decatur, IL, passed away 3:35 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Imboden Creek Living Center, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Long Creek, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Albert was born May 7, 1929 in Decatur, IL, the son of Albert Henry and Elsie Dora (Hahnfeldt) Karloski, Sr. He married Linda Lou Flynn on December 22, 1993 and she preceded him in death on January 15, 2013. Albert retired from Wabash Railroad after many years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his son Steven Allen Karloski of Raleigh, NC; daughter Carolyn Sue Johnson of Cartersville, GA; stepdaughter Susan Knox and husband Paul of Edmond, OK; stepsons Bill Kufner and wife Denice of Bates City, MO, Jeffrey Reed and Jesse Reed, both of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Stephanie Johnson, Shannon Johnson, Jeremy Johnson; step grandchildren Manny Payne, Korryn Reyann, Early Dayton Reed, Brooke, Adam, and Bailee Kufner; 4 great grandchildren; brother Kenneth Victor Karloski; sisters-in-law Loretta Burns of Mt. Zion, IL and Donna Kloptenstein of Grandview, MO; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three sisters and three brothers. "
