A. Carol Wade, 75, of Decatur, IL, formerly of Springfield, IL, died 2:10 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, January 17, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Carol was born May 25, 1938 in Springfield, IL , the daughter of John Franklin and Sadie Rachel (Cass) Robinson. She married Donald Wade on June 28, 1959 in Springfield, IL. Carol was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She worked for Mueller Company for almost 20 years before retiring and was a member of the Professional Secretaries International. Carol and her husband Donald had volunteered at the Good Samaritan Inn and Macon County Historical Society Museum. She also previously volunteered with both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts activities, with the former Oglesby Grade School P.T.A., and the Stephen Decatur High School Booster Club. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald of Decatur; daughter Annette (Gary) Jobe of Maryville, IL; son Richard Wade of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Matthew Jobe of Decatur, IL, Sara (Kyle) Ingram of Wood River, IL; great grandchildren Landon and Logan Jobe. She was preceded in death by her parents. "
